Organization message:

Make aware of the issues for professional and accredited sign language interpreters working in the Arab deaf communities by seeking legal guarantees that ensure them their rights to the extent that require them to perform their duties, and contribute to raise the level of cadre working in the field of translation in sign language by providing them training and awareness opportunities that contribute in increasing the interpreters experiences.

Reasons for the establishment of the Arab Organization of Sign Language interpreters:
- Strengthening teamwork with Deaf institutions and associations of sign language interpreters at the local, regional and international levels, and encourage the establishment of associations of sign language interpreters in all Arab countries.

- Encourage Arab countries to provide local language translation in religious, cultural, social and educational TV programs and special programs that facilitate access to information for the Arab deaf community and in various countries of our Arab countries.

- Many institutions of Deaf people suffer from a lack of effective mechanisms to deal with Deaf people and the hearing impaired in an optimal manner and that benefit their issues.
- Language of speech used and translation into and out of sign language in many cultural activities and media reports on the deaf are plagued by many unintended errors, but lead to distortion of the message, and reach the opposite of its goal.

- Many Deaf institutions suffer from a lack of effective mechanisms to deal with Deaf people and those with impaired hearing in an optimal manner that benefit their issues.

- Language of speech used and translation into and out of sign language in many cultural activities and media reports related to the deaf are marred by many unintended errors, but lead to distortion of the message, and reach the opposite of its goal.

- The lack qualified deaf and hearing translators in the Arab world.
- Lack of programs that qualify and prepare sign language interpreters at Arab universities levels.
- The lack of ethics of the profession that invoke to approved professional standards.

- Deaf associations and organizations locally and regionally.
- The sign language, the deaf, and the hearing interpreters and their associations.
- University faculty members interested in sign language translation.
- Experts working in the field of technology and software made for deaf and sign language education.

Working methods:
- The organization will seek to make its work a real and advanced addition in the field of translation into and from the local sign language in each Arab country by cooperating with the regional secretariat of the Arab region.
- The organization will adopt the concept of translation research and will seek to overcome the common translation disadvantages and setting specific standards for the translation, including the competence and knowledge of the translated material, including the strict mastery of the two languages: transmitted language - the original one of the translated material - and transferred to it.
- The organization will ensure encouraging research in the field of translation, sign languages and the deaf culture.
